Hey folks! Rozz here again after quite a long hiatus to, once again, ring in the New Year with some reflection on what this past year’s been like in addition to an optimistic layout of how next year’s projects and plans will go. Obviously, my ideas for how this year was going to go took such a sharp left turn that I think I got mental whiplash. Even though I didn’t get what I wanted finished (or even started), I still accomplished quite a bit in terms of Game Development that I’m proud of. Not only that, but these accomplishments are also the beginning of exciting projects that are yet-to-come. Before we get there, let’s talk about what we’ve done this year.
First-things-first, we started the year by continuing development of Fallout: Not of Planet Earth. While I was initially planning for the project to be completed by Summer of this past year, I ran into a huge creative block and, essentially, halted the project. So, as of right now, I don’t have an end date in mind, but I am definitely motivated to get back into active development this coming year!

Second, I actually worked on a small portion of the Arcane University Skyrim Modding Project, “Henantir’s Steamcrag”. This is something I actually did complete but, as of right now, isn’t officially released. I’m unsure if the project will ever be released at this point but my contribution to it taught be so much about, not just the Creation Kit, but Level Design in general and am extremely grateful to be a part of it.

The last big project I started working on was my own game being created in the Godot Engine. However, it isn’t the project I announced last year (although that game is currently in early development). This game is called “I’m Awesome”. As of right now, I have the first level designed and I just need to get music created and implemented. I’ll post some very beginner-level art down below.

As far as gaming goes, I’ve played a lot of Civilization VI, got all achievements for Fallout: New Vegas, completed Shadow of the Erdtree, survived the horrors of Silent Hill in the Silent Hill 2 remake (my personal Game of the Year), and started my adventure as Indiana Jones! On top of that, I pledged this past month that I’d start collecting every single Pokémon and obtain them all. Right now, I have about 278 or so. I’ll be starting next year with the end of Indiana Jones and the start of the Soul Reaver Remasters.

Now, let’s talk about 2025! Starting out the year, I’ll essentially be working on two projects at once. First one being continued development of “Fallout: Not of Planet Earth” and the second being “I’m Awesome”. The finish of Not of Planet Earth is undetermined, but a Demo to “I’m Awesome” should be coming out within the next couple months! I’ll post here once it’s released.
After “Not of Planet Earth” is completed, I’ll probably start working on “Starfield: Mad Experiments” which is a Quest Mod inspired by the original “Alien” movie. This one will require a LOT of learning because Starfield Modding is an entirely different beast.

Now, onto a project I announced last year that didn’t even start active development this year, “Kingdom of Fire”. This is a project that is being developed not just by me, but a few of my close friends too. MageGoatTea is our Lead Artist for the project and is working on models and environmental assets for Kingdom of Fire. Once we get a bunch of these assets, I’ll be able to start implementing design for levels. Until then, “Kingdom of Fire” is somewhat on the backburner.

So far, that’s all I have planned! I have a lot of ideas, but I’ve also definitely learned from last year to not announce stuff too early because I didn’t really do anything I was initially planning. However, this year is focused on finishing what I have planned! 2024 was a great year outside of Game Development, and 2025 will be so much better! I hope you had a wonderful Holiday Season and that you have an AMAZING 2025!
Oh, one more thing…there is one teeny tiny project I worked on over the course of one day for “The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind”. Now, if you’ve been keeping up with my live streams, you’ll notice I’ve been playing Morrowind off and on again. I’ve modded it with Morrowind Rebirth and Tamriel Rebuilt! However, these two mods don’t necessarily work well together. So, I created a patch to help make Morrowind Rebirth work with Tamriel Rebuilt! Both of these patches are available NOW on Nexus Mods! I can’t wait to see you guys in the streams next year!
