Howdy folks! Casey here once again with another update! I just wanted to post progress on “Not of Planet Earth” as well as providing a bit of an update on how I’ll be doing things for the blog. It’s not a big update, trust me, but, I believe, it’ll be one to help keep me “in line” and motivated.
First, the “Not of Planet Earth” update. Currently, I have the base build of the “Void Tunnel” location finished. All I have to do now is clean it up and clutter it. Unfortunately, I’ve fallen a bit behind where I was hoping to be at the end of the month. I was hoping to have the entirety of Void Tunnel (outside of quest and scripted encounters) completed by the end of November. I think it likely won’t be fully completed for, at least, another week. One thing I’ve learned about modding Fallout vs. Elder Scrolls is there’s a lot more cluttering to make a Fallout environment feel more natural. Now, I’m not saying cluttering in Elder Scrolls is particularly easy, I’m just saying there’s a lot more rubble, items, and landscapes to throw together to give it a good-looking yet destroyed look that comes naturally in a Fallout game. But, from what I’ve cluttered so far, I’m confident it’ll look great!
Second, the update to how I blog will be more dedicated “Monthly Updates”. Now, I’ve usually been pretty decent about providing development updates every month but there were times of gap mostly because I wanted to provide updates when I had them. Sometimes life happens and I had stuff on hold due to that, causing updates to be a month or so delayed. I’m going to try and be more dedicated to it now so I can keep better track of where I am and what I need to do. So, this is my update for November! That means at the end of December, I’ll give one last update for 2023 and include a fun little Christmas present for you all.
I just want to thank you all again for joining me on this journey. 2023 has been life-changing and I have so many great ideas for 2024 that I can’t wait to share with you.
